Warning Children Love to Read.

I would like to share with you a testimonial form a grateful parent whose child has suddenly started to love reading.

"Dear Marney

I am writing to thank you for your professional kinesiology care that we have been enjoying and benefiting from since last June (09). I have been experiencing a wonderful vitality as a result of your treatments and am very happy with the tangible results my 3 children have also been experiencing; such as calmer moods and relief from allergy symptoms.

I would like to share significant news regarding my oldest son, Riley, who is 8 ½. As you know he is a very bright child who has surprisingly struggled academically in school. He has previously been diagnosed with cross dominance (right hand/ left eye) and auditory processing problems.

The biggest area of concern academically for Riley has been literacy. He has consistently struggled to read, spell and write legibly despite now being in Grade 4. His weekly spelling test book reveals that week after week he was getting two or three words correct out of ten, was in the lower end of the class for reading groups and was unable to keep up with copying work from the blackboard in any legible fashion.

Riley has had about 5 kinesiology treatments with you to date and the results are remarkable. After the third treatment his attitude took a noticeable improvement and that week he got 10 out of 10 for his spelling test!! Major celebrations!! He is now consistently achieving above 7 every week. His writing has much improved and homework has ceased to be a struggle between us as he is no longer a bundle of frustration and anger. On the contrary, he is absolutely revved!

At a parent teacher interview last week his teacher mentioned that she is noticing improvements in his schoolwork recently.

If tonight is a good indicator, then Riley is off and running with his reading after his most recent treatment with you last Saturday. He asked for a particular book; which is an encyclopedia style children’s book. I found it and he made himself comfortable, proceeding to be enthralled by interesting facts which he wanted to read to me. I think you would need to be a parent of a child who has struggled to read for his entire schooling, who has fought against reading the simplest home reader, who has listened to stories with rapture but never picked up a book to read for enjoyment to realize the amazement and joy of this moment. The most amazing part of the experience was the smile on Riley’s face as he laughed over the pages and his willingness to just keep turning the pages and reading on....

Pure gold!!

Marney; I am writing this letter both to thank you and to give you such positive feedback. Your work with Riley has, without a doubt, changed his life. I intend on sharing his experience with the significant school community and hope that even this letter could encourage others to give their children the opportunity to succeed through kinesiology balancing.

Sincerely, Heather Bradford"

The left and right hemispheres are connected by a bundle of nerve fibres called the Corpus Callosum. This cable lets one side of the brain communicate with the other side and allows the exchange of information. When we use both "brains", we read with smoothness, expression, intonation and comprehension.

There is a direct relationship between specific learning difficulties and hemispheric integration. Every learning task requires two types of processing. Many kinds of stress on the body-mind affect hemispheric integration. Hereditary factors and early childhood emotional and developmental stress also affect integration. The more a child is placed under stress whilst learning to read, their confidence and their self esteem will falter. These remembered stresses can stay with the child for their entire lives, and trigger an emotional reaction that greatly affects hemispheric integration each time they are required to read.

Kinesiology techniques can encourage the right and left hemisphere of the brain to communicate effectively. By removing blockages that are causing the difficulties, the symptoms of non communication and the stresses of going through a learning curve will fade away, often quite quickly. The body/brain biocomputer is being programmed every moment of our lives, with every movement and every sequence of movement new neural pathways are being formed.

Choose to change your child's life......today!

Healthy Ageing Expo Rocks!

Hello to you all, and welcome again to Kinique-Kinesiology uniquely for you.
Yesterday I was privileged to once again be a part of Moreton Bay Region Healthy Ageing Expo, along with my fellow colleague Patrick Mounter. We are both qualified registered Kinesiologists and are members of Australian Institute of Kinesiology. Kinesiology formed one of the many "hands on" stands in the Health Check area of the Expo. We invited the public to experience kinesiology as a modality that provides health benefits as a part on an ongoing health protocol. It was demonstrated how kinesiology could assist in reducing and at times relieving pain associated with muscle disharmony, Emotional Stress Relief for highly emotional trauma triggers, and how certain foods can be perceived by your body as not being good for it. Marney Perna principle of Kinique gave a talk on "what was Kinesiology" to the waiting crowds and other stand participants. Marney was also working in conjunction with the Blood Glucose testing exhibitor to test the before and after readings of blood glucose when a specific kinesiology technique was used on an individual. There was some very interesting readings shown.
The expo was staged by Moreton Bay Regional Council Healthy Ageing Partnership with the support of Queensland Health and Department of Communities as a part of Seniors Week Celebrations. The day was literally kicked off by a Square Dance performance by Palm Lake Square dancers. A fabulous day was had by visitors, stand exhibitors and all attending.
Well done to all the organizers.

Children know how Kinesiolgy helps them.

Hi welcome back to my clinic, Kinique-Kinesiology uniquely for you. I would like to share with you a message from a young boy. His parents found my website on Natural Therapy Pages and hoped that Kinesiology would be able to assist their son and help with his inability to focus on a given task. His parents were getting concerned about his inattention both at home and at school.
When the balance started he was very amazed at how as he stated "wow, my body is talking to you and answering your questions". How cool. Using an indicater muscle I was able to "ask" his body for the priority assistance he required to help to focus on tasks. We identified a goal that was specific to the issues and then proceded to see what areas of the body was being stressed (emotionally and physically) from just stating the goal. Both of his parents came to the initail consultation and they were wondering if maybe their son was once again not concentrating enough and therefor unable to keep his arm upright. They felt that he just wasn't making the effort to do it.
I then asked his Dad if he was following the procedure and if he would like to assit me with an experiment to which he agreed. I was able to show him that his son was in fact trying very hard to keep his arm upright and that he had no control at all over his bodys' reaction to a stressful thought. Both parents were quite visibly surprised at the outcome.
Kinesiology is an excellent modality to utilize when dealing with the brains ability to integrate both left and right side together. This means able to see the big picture whilst taking into account the fine details. Often with a percieved learning difficulty this integration doesn't go smoothly.
We had several sessions over several weeks and the change has been very noticable to the family, the school and most importantly of all to the young boy.
He has realised that he can learn, his co ordination has improved and he is feeling great and confident. At his last visit he gave me the most wonderful testimonial, a home made, personally written card complete with lovely drawings of myself and of him on the massage table and saying "Thank you for making me focus".
From the mouth of babes, they do notice and understand that they feel better and acknowledge openly that Kinesiology helps them. They are not so caught up in trying to prove that it doesn't they accept that it does.

Why should I try Kinesiology?

Why? To change your life of course.
Kinique-Kinesiology uniquely for you, is a natural therapy clinic that changes peoples lives. It allows them to move forward with freedom, whether in their personal space that has been limited by physical trauma, emotional trauma or spiritual crisis or their business space where the limitiation is their goals and aspirations.
Trauma and stress go together, they compliment each other and as partners contribute to our feelings of inadequacey and limitations. They hold us back and stop us reaching our full potential. Kinesiology can make a difference, used professionally it can give back function and enthusiasm. Most of all it can give back self esteem and self cofidence.
There is nothing more wonderful than giving someone who lives with a life altering condition, the empowerment of knowing that they can still be useful. To know that it is possible to still shop, laugh, participate in basic life "stuff", to still be considered a person not a condition.
Kinesiology can and does change peoples lives, it's accuracy in identifying is second to none. The trust that forms between the client and the practitioner allows that person to feel safe and comfortable to share their darkest and sometimes their deepest fears. To know that there is no judgement, and even if it sometimes seems just too crazy, that's OK!
What can seem like a huge burden to one person can seem a minor issue to another which is why Kinesiology is so valuable. It is uniquely for you as an individual, specifically used for your greater good and to make you feel the very best you can, without limitations.
People love to feel good about themselves, that is why you should try Kinesiology.

Dont Stress over Weight Issues

Don't stress over weight issues and regain your life back.

Your body is at all times trying to heal itself, however sometimes it finds the whole process too hard. So to help it out it gives signals to our body that we need to listen to. These signals can be very vague symptoms or in the case of an Auto immune issue a major illness. There is a way to find out what is wrong and what may be done to address the issues. In the case of weight gain many times our body's chemical process is not working to the best of its ability. The messages are getting mixed up.

Hi my name is Marney and I am a Kinesiologist. Now I know most of you are already saying "a...what....ologist?". A Kin...easy...ologist, it is one of the Natural Therapy modalities and it incorporates Ancient Chinese Philosophy as well as Modern Western knowledge. It works along the principle of the Triad of Health, where the Emotional, Physical and Chemical sides of your life have to be in harmony. When this harmony is in place then you will feel well balanced and able to function to the best of your ability.

One of the biggest factors in making us feel imbalanced is stress. As you would be aware health authorities now attribute stress to being an underlying cause of cancer, depression and many major illnesses. In today's society there are many and varied causes of stress including financial concerns, job losses, reduced family times, peer pressure, nutritional deficient foods, smog, chemicals, pollution, EMR just to name a few. Some of these we are aware of but there are also the stresses that we have at an sub-conscious level, these are the memories of "bad or traumatic" events or emotional triggers.

How's your self image? Do you like yourself, I mean really like yourself? In our quest to be perfect we harbor many negative self thoughts about our physical body and our ability to be in control of our thoughts. Our brain records our life and I am sure that many of you would have been told as a child "to eat up all of your food, waste not want not, it's a sin to leave anything on your plate", and the list goes on. This sets up a conditioning in our mind that often comes against us when as adults we attempt to reduce our body weight, especially when we find it not so easy to do.

We need to be relaxed about our ability to lose weight and to maintain that desired body weight and not be hindered by an earlier message that may not be appropriate now. If the very thought process that allows our bodies to break down the food also causes our muscles not to work with integrity then we end up fighting our own body in a sabotage program. If the digestive system is hindered in doing its job than the waste builds up and the associated toxins will invade our body putting more pressure on our lymphatic and cleansing systems. An overloaded system reacts to further stress by shutting down.

Utilizing many kinesiology techniques it is possible to identify the system which is most under stress and to assist your body's natural ability to metabolize its food and to restore harmony back. Don't stress over weight issues and regain your life back.

Advantages of Kinesiology for Self Care

On Monday 22nd June 2009 Marney Perna principle of Kinique-"Kinesiology uniquely for you", a kinesiology clinic located in Brisbane's North side was invited by Blue Care to present a workshop to a group of carers at a Northlakes Retirement Village. The focus of the workshop was on self care and how kiniesiology would be of benefit to the quality and functionality of their lives.
A carer is someone who ultimately has the sole responsibility to care for someone often 24 hours a day in their homes. The carer takes care of the day to day management of the other person in some cases a younger child or their partner. With the constant care that the other person requires it is most often the case that the carer doesn't always get alot of self time. Any time available is generally spent in doing mundane jobs like housework, banking, appointments and the list goes on. Although the carer is aware of the fact that they should look after themselves the available time is just not there. There were 6 basic ways shown that could give some "me" time to the carers and they included advice on:- Getting adequate sleep and why, Making sure they get outside of the house for some fresh air each day, Exchanging smiles with at least 2 other people, Saying and meaning "Good Morning", Making the to do list in smaller chunks, and being grateful for at least 10 items of their lives. All of this advise was to uplift the spirit and to give the body a breather from stress.

Kinesiology Health Expo at MBF Chermside

AN AUSTRALIAN FIRST!

Attention: open in a new window. PDFPrintE-mail

Invited by MBF Insurance Company to mini EXPO at Chermside MBF Office Saturday 20th June 2009

About 2 months ago MBF Chermside Office approached me to bring along to their office 2-3 fellow Kinesiologists to hold a mini Expo for their Members and passing people In the Chermside Shopping Centre, on Saturday 20th June from 9am to 2pm. I contacted a few of our Professional Members to assist me. Marney Perna, Christine Morgan and Sally Young all obliged. It was a great opportunity to put the Australian Institute of Kinesiologists Ltd out there for the public, with MBF supporting us.

I arrived at the MBF Office at Chermside at about 8.45am this morning on Saturday 20th June. Marney Perna was already there setting up when I arrived. There were also 3 Reflexologists there sharing the office floor.

AS we are now recognised by MBF as a professional Kinesiology body after a successful lobby to their Company they are now wanting to promote natural therapies cover for their members. Our purpose was to share Kinesiology with their members coming into their office so they can benefit from the additions to their policies.

mba aik kinesiology open day

As a way to promote the event, the MBF office had printed 30,000 flyers which had been distributed in the free local paper for people to come and experience free treatments. Unfortunately the name of kinesiology was missing but probably would mean little to many people anyway.

I also took a few books with me, the Green TFH Book (old one) and the new TFH book for people to see the “evidence”, as well as Walther’s Applied Kinesiology Synopsis,
Along with my “Learning to Learn” book and Hyperton-X Manuals. I printed out a flyer for myself.

Christine Morgan and Sally arrived later and began to give out our new Kinesiology postcard, designed by our own Jennifer Kusmenko, as well as her own flyers. We talked to about 100 people, some only briefly as we handed out literature. Most were very interested. We treated about 20 people, most for about 10 minutes.

We all left at 2pm as the MBF doors closed.

As an exercise in promotion and marketing I felt it was a success. The MBF staff were pleased with our presentation and said they would like to work closely with our Kinesiology Members. This approach to marketing via the Insurance Funds themselves may work in other areas of Australia. We can now canvas Medibank Private, Australian Unity and MBF.
